Susan Walsh, CAP-OM - President

Susan Walsh, CAP-OM is an Administrative Professional with over 20 years experience. She has been with Fidelity Investments for 7 years and currently is Program Administrator at Fidelity ActionsXchange where she supports a Executive Vice President. Prior to joining ActionsXchange, Susan was a Senior Executive Assistant at Fidelity Charitable Services. In 2008, Susan was recognized by the organization and was awarded the Achievement Award for Excellence; the only administrative professional to receive the award. Prior to joining Fidelity, Susan was Executive Assistant to the President of Big Brothers of Massachusetts Bay. She also worked for over 12 years at New England Financial in Boston where she held a variety of senior administrative roles. At New England Financial, Susan was the only administrative assistant ever to be awarded the company's Extra Mile Award.
Susan joined IAAP in 2006. She is currently the President of the Greater New England Division for the 2012-2013 year. Susan also served as both president and vice president of the Greater Boston Chapter. Susan held a committee chair position on the Host Committee for the 2010 Educational Forum and Annual Meeting (EFAM) in Boston.
Susan received her CAP-OM designation in 2008 and has achieved the IAAP designation of Member of Excellence in 2008-2009, 2009-2010, 2010-2011, and 2011-2012.
Most recently, Susan was interviewed for a study by Office Team and participated in a panel discussion based on that study at the 2012 IAAP Education Forum and Annual Meeting held in Grapevine, Texas.
Susan regularly volunteers at various organizations in Boston and is a co-captain of one of the top fundraising teams for the American Cancer Society's Making Strides against Breast Cancer Walk.
Patricia Patterson, CAP-OM – President Elect

Patty Patterson has been in an Administrative Assistant role for eleven years and is currently the Administrative Assistant to the Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems (EMHS). In the Administrative Assistant role, Patty works closely with the CIO in managing the 170 staff members and coordinates the calendar for the CIO, as well as assists with budgeting. Patty enjoys creating presentations for system-wide events, as well as some national presentations, and is the travel coordinator for all of Information Systems helping with airfare, conference registration, hotel accommodations and other travel related details. She also has taken on the new role of Manager for the Information Systems Administrative Team which includes four other administrative assistantant.
Patty joined the IAAP in 2005 as a member at large, and in February 2009 transferred to the Bangor Area Chapter as a Charter member. She earned her CAP rating in May 2009 and has earned her Member of Excellence over the past three years. Patty is currently serving as the Greater New England (GNED) vice president for the fiscal year 2011-2012 and is the chair of the fundraising committee for the 2012 GNED annual conference.
Patty resides in Old Town with her husband of 21 years along with her two sons, Joshua 17 and Kenny 16. They spend free time togther as much as possible and enjoy family activities such as camping, hiking, and rock climbing. Patty also enjoys music and is a member of her church choir.
Susan Powell, CAP-OM – Vice President

Susan Powell has been in an Administrative Assistant role for more than 20 years. Currently, she is the Executive Assistant to three Senior Vice President’s at Fidelity Investments, ActionsXchange Division. Prior to working at Fidelity Investments, Susan was the Executive Assistant to one of the Senior Partners at Pillar Financial Advisor, Inc. in Waltham, Massachusetts. Susan and her family lived in Omaha, Nebraska for 22 years. While living in Nebraska, she worked for the Bellevue Public Schools, Mutual of Omaha and American National Bank.
Susan joined IAAP and the Route 128 Chapter in January of 2007. Susan received her CAP designation in May of 2007. From 2008-2012, she served on the Route 128 Chapter Board of Directors as Secretary, President and has just completed her term as Vice President. Susan has also served the Greater New England Division as the Chair for the Certification Committee and Chair for the Committee on Nominations and was on the 2010 Host Committee for the 2010 Educational Forum and Annual Meeting in Boston. Susan has achieved Member of Excellence in 2008-2009, 2009-2010, 2010-2011 and 2011-2012.
Susan enjoys reading, sewing, hooking rugs and spending time with her 4 granddaughter’s.
Sharon King – Secretary

Sharon King was born in Brooklyn, NY. Shortly after graduating high school she joined the United States Navy, earned the rank of Chief Petty Officer and completed 20 years of combined active and reserve service in November 2008.
She worked for the San Mateo County Probation Department in East Palo Alto, CA as a Legal Office Specialist where she met her partner Chris. They moved to Whidbey Island, Washington in 1994, then St. Louis, Missouri in 1997 and finally Brunswick, Maine in June 2000.
Sharon joined IAAP in April 2001 and has served as the Mid Coast Area Chapter Treasurer from 2002 – 2004, Secretary for 2007 – 2008, Vice President for 2009 - 2010 and President from 2010 to 2012.
In May 2007, she earned her Master of Science Degree in Organizational Leadership from Southern New Hampshire University. She works in Facilities Management at Bowdoin College as an Office Coordinator supporting two Directors and managing the daily office operations of three support staff.
Sharon and Chris live in Lisbon Falls, Maine with their furry friend Stormy. In her spare time Sharon enjoys traveling, knitting and league bowling. She is a lifelong learner and is excited about serving as the Greater New England Division Secretary for 2012-2013.
Rosemarie S. Kingsbury, CAP-OM - Treasurer

Rosemarie Kingsbury, CAP-OM, has worked in the arena of administrative support for over 35 years. For the past 22 years she he has been employed as a Senior Administrative Assistant by the regional accounting firm of Sansiveri, Kimball & Co., where she supports the professionals in the Westerly, RI branch, and handles branch administration. Prior to working at SK&Co, Rosemarie was a marketing support representative for A-Copy, word processing department manager for Gorham/Textron, and an Administrative Specialist in the U.S. Army. She has an Associates Degree in Business Management.
After joining the IAAP in 2005, she obtained her CPS and CAP certifications in 2006 and became a charter member of the SE CT Shoreline Chapter. At the chapter level, Rosemarie has served as Chapter Treasurer (2006-2007), Chapter President (2007-2009), Chapter Secretary (2010-2011), certification committee chair, education committee chair, and nominations committee chair. She has also served as Host Committee Treasurer for the 2010 Education Forum and Annual Meeting in Boston, GNED Webmaster (2011-2013), and is currenty the GNED Treasurer (2012-2013). She has been a Member of Excellence since 2008, and is a Northeast District Shining Star Award recipient. Rosemarie has presented recertification point seminars at the chapter and district (webinar) levels.
In additon to serving the IAAP, Rosemarie has served as Treasurer for Cub Scout Pack 1 Ashaway and is currently the Secretary for BSA Troop 21 Ashaway. Since 2003, her and her husband Lance have run their online collector plate business Kingsbury'd Treasures. Lance and Rose have three children: Victoria, 23; Mason, 17, who is working on his Eagle project; and Lillian 'Lily', 14, a competive gymnast.
